Story behind Eid-al-Adha Eid-al-Adha also called the “Feast of sacrifice” is celebrated by Muslims worldwide each year. In the Islamic lunar calendar, Eid-al-Adha falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah. The word ‘Eid’ is found in al-ma’ida , the fifth sura of the Quran meaning “Solemn Festival ”.
